Tremadog Breathworks course

This 8 week course is especially designed for anyone who is living with pain, physical illness or stress that is impacting on their health.  The Breathworks approach teaches gentle mindfulness skills to help improve quality of life and health even in the most difficult of circumstances. 

The course will be led by Tara and will run over 8 Thursday evenings from 6.30 - 9 pm at St Mary’s church, Tremadog. St Mary's Church  is set back a little from Tremadog Church Street, on the right hand side if coming from Porthmadog. It has its own adjacent car park which can take about 10 cars. Parking is also available on Church Street. The building has been converted and now houses offices downstairs with a meeting space upstairs which we will be using. A lift and disabled toilets are available.

The first and the final sessions of the 8 week course (4th February and 24th March) will begin a bit earlier at 6.15 pm, in order to have time for introductions and also final reflections at the end..

There will be a free taster and orientation session on Thursday 28th January 6.30 - 8.30pm when you can come and find out more about the course and talk to Tara. 

There is also the option of a follow up session after the course on Thursday  7th April - 6.30 - 9 pm at St Mary's Church, Tremadog. . This is an opportunity to have an evening of guided practices in an atmosphere of silence, followed by a discussion.

The course costs £150 or £110 concessionary rate. There are also a  number of further concessions available if you are unable to afford these rates so do contact Tara to discuss your situation with her. It is understood that living with long term health problems often goes hand in hand with a reduced income and so we do our best to make this course available to as many people as possible.

The cost includes the 8 evening sessions, the follow up session, teacher support in between sessions if needed, CDs of guided meditation practices and a course book - 'Mindfulness for Health' by Vidyamala Burch and Danny Penman.  

Copies of the book will be available at the free taster session. It is recommended to read the first 4 chapters before starting the course.
