Heather Cayzer

I came to mindfulness in 2008 after a life changing event and the skills I developed on the course greatly improved the quality of my life and inspired me to go on to learn to teach the course to others.

I trained at the Centre for Mindfulness Research and Practice, Bangor University and set-up Steadymind Training. I am employed as a Supervision Support Worker with Barnardo’s Flintshire Family Services, supporting children & families and hold a full DBS certificate.

I am particularly passionate about work with families. parents, carers, people with learning difficulties and staff supporting these groups - helping them to explore different approaches to difficulties and develop new stress managements skills.

I volunteer as a mindfulness trainer at Barnardo’s Rural Family Services Llangefni, supporting staff and service users on Anglesey. And was awarded the Marsh National Trust Volunteer of the year award Cymru 2017, for my contribution to the service.

I teach the MBSR (Mindfulness-based Stress Reduction) Course and Eluned Gold’s Nurturing Parent Programme. I offer bespoke training for individuals and Organisations including, introduction days, taster sessions and follow-up sessions Post Mindfulness training. I work with the general public, local authorities, the RAF, Carers and staff in the workplace across Gwynedd.
