Tara Anne Dew

Tara has been practising mindfulness meditation for over 25 years and teaching since 2013. She originally trained as a doctor and worked as a GP for 7 years before needing to leave work due to chronic fatigue syndrome. Now largely recovered, she has a wealth of experience of how to practice with pain and illness.

She moved to North Wales in 2003 to become a resident in a meditation centre near Criccieth and now divides her time between helping at the centre and teaching mindfulness in the community. As well as training in NLP (neuro-linguistic programming), she has been an associate teacher with the Bangor Centre for Mindfulness Research and Practice and is also a certified Breathworks trainer leading Mindfulness for Health courses.

She has also trained with Gina Biegel to deliver an adapted 8 week Mindfulness course for teenagers and young people. She has a love for the outdoors and has developed a 6 week course called Mindfulness in Nature. She is happy to run courses for groups and also on a one to one basis.
