Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy Course

  • Penrhyn Hall City of Bangor Council, Ffordd Gwynedd Bangor LL57 1DT (map)

An 8 week Mindfulness course led by Heather Bolton, Gwynedd Mindfulness and UK Network of Mindfulness Teachers.

The course starts with an orientation session on Thursday March 5th at 5.30pm-8.00pm and continues for the following 8 weeks ending on 30th April and includes a full day of practice to be arranged.

The Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) Course was originally designed for people suffering from periods of depression, however ongoing research has shown it to be effective in helping with problems of anxiety and general unhappiness. This particular approach is especially focussed around understanding how our thinking and relationship to our thoughts can have a huge impact on our mood and engagement with life. It introduces us to more effective ways to respond to our inner critical voice and manage life's challenges.

Access to the course is through an application form. The teacher may contact you to ensure that it is a good time to undertake the course.

Fee £210 for all sessions and materials. Some concessionary places based on ability to pay, please mention any request for consideration on application.
