Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy

An 8 week MBCT Mindfulness course beginning Wednesday 21st October 2020 6-8pm (continuing weekly at the same time.)

This is a standard Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy Course delivered through zoom (small group 12 participants max). Cost £170 including the book the Mindful Way.

This experiential course introduces us to the wisdom of mindfulness in a very practical way. Through it we can gain understanding into the way our minds work (not always in a helpful way) and learn various supportive meditational practices. We begin to worry less and enjoy our daily lives more. The MBCT was originally developed for people suffering from depression but research has shown the benefit for people suffering from stress, anxiety and the impact of chronic illness.

Each session of the course builds on the last so it is preferable to attend every week. This 8 week course supports participants to develop a mindfulness practice that can sustain them after completing the course. It is therefore important that attendees can commit some time (up to an hour daily) to do some meditational practice most days during the period of the course.

To ensure that MBCT is appropriate for you at this time you will be invited to fill out an application form and to meet the course teacher online. Click here to access the application form. This will also be an opportunity for an introduction to the course.

Heather Bolton is an experienced teacher registered with BAMBA, (British Association for Mindfulness-based Approaches) you can read more about her here

If you are interested in the course please complete an application form and email it to heathermbolton@btinternet.com where you can address any further enquiries about the course.
